National Science Foundation REU Site: Research on Biomedical Informatics
This NSF sponsored REU site is a nine-week
summer research program at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC)
campus. The summer 2013 program will host ten highly motivated undergraduate
students from UTC and other institutions across the nation with competitive research experience in Biomedical
Informatics. Optional research/financial support will be offered for students who continue their research
during the academic year (i.e., the subsequent Fall and Spring semesters). This program is sponsored by the
National Science Foundation (award #
1156639 ), with additional support from
UTC ,
University of Tennessee: College of Medicine Chattanooga (UTCOMC) ,
Erlanger Health System , and
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Tennessee (BCBST) .
Available research projects share the theme of Biomedical Informatics and span several exciting areas of inquiry.
The projects are intellectually stimulating and will give students an opportunity to meaningfully participate in current research.
